Michael earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law where he served as an Articles Editor on the Editorial Board of The American University Law Review. He was a Dean’s Fellow for Associate Dean and Professor Jamin Raskin, a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Charles R. Richey, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and a Legal Intern, United States Attorney’s Office of the District of Columbia as well as a Legal Intern for the District of Columbia Office of Corporation Counsel.

Michael earned his LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center.  He wrote his Master’s Thesis on insider trading.  His post Juris Doctorate coursework included the following:

After graduating law school, Michael served as law clerk to the Honorable Judge John H. Bayly of the District of Columbia Superior Court.  While Mike was clerking, Judge Bayly was hearing criminal matters.

After clerking for Judge Bayly and while earning his LL.M. at Georgetown, Michael served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Administrative Law Judges.
